Playing Because builder

Match each beginning to its sensible because ending. Read the complete sentence aloud after matching. Find six pairs, then explain a choice using your own words.

What this game practises

Explaining a reason helps a listener understand how ideas connect. The prepared pairs use clear everyday causes, and the score checks only those matches. Ask a child to explain one match and invent another sensible reason afterwards. The website does not record or judge speech; a grown-up can listen, ask a follow-up question and help the explanation become clearer.

Progress and trying again

The normal game controls let children finish, save stars on this device and play again. A previous best result is kept when a later attempt scores less. Matching games count incorrect pairs; ordering games score the first check of each round; sorting games give another chance after a mistake. Take time to talk about a choice rather than racing.
