For parents and teachers

In England, learning a foreign language is part of the National Curriculum for every pupil in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6). Schools can teach any modern or ancient language, and the aim is real progress in one language: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Most schools teach French or Spanish, so those are the languages here, each with its own games, year by year.

Every game is matched to a statutory requirement in the DfE, National curriculum in England: languages programmes of study (2013), quoted on the game's page.
