What this game practises

Year 6 composition develops a clear relationship between evidence, interpretation and a recommendation. Argument architect offers prepared outlines in which later steps depend on information gathered earlier. Connectives and references help establish the intended sequence. Real arguments can use different structures, so the game’s order belongs to these specific examples rather than being a compulsory formula for every balanced discussion. In the route outline, comparing congestion follows the trial, and the recommendation uses that comparison. Explain why a conclusion presented before the observations would need careful framing to avoid pretending it was already established. After playing, write an original recommendation that includes evidence and one relevant limitation, then ask whether a reader can distinguish the finding from the judgement.

Progress and trying again

The normal game controls let children finish, save stars on this device and play again. A previous best result is kept when a later attempt scores less. Matching games count incorrect pairs; ordering games score the first check of each round; sorting games give another chance after a mistake. Take time to talk about a choice rather than racing.
