Sorting hoops

Sort the cards, then let the numbers tell you if you got it right!

Cut out the cards. Sort them into piles: put each card on the hoop where it belongs. Then add up the little numbers on the cards in each hoop. If every total matches the number under its hoop, you sorted them all correctly. If a total is wrong, a card is in the wrong hoop: find it and move it!

Sorting race for 2 players: shuffle the cards face down. Take turns to turn one over and put it in a hoop. If your partner thinks it is in the wrong hoop, they say “Check!” and you talk about it. When all the cards are down, add up each hoop. Every total right? You both win! Then swap who goes first and try to beat your time.
